Once aboard, your personal guide – a local wine and food expert – will whisk you off to your first tasting at the Foley Winery in the Santa Rita Hills. You will indulge in the rich flavors of Foley’s estate Chardonneys and Pinot Noir’s, accompanied by a palette of gourmet light cheeses, fruit and crackers.
 This tour stop is specifically arranged to invigorate your senses with crisp flavors of afternoon hors d’eourves and light wine. You will begin to understand the value of specific food pairings, and why wineries make so much great wine (because there’s so much great food!). Meanwhile, you will be surrounded by over 200 acres of luscious Pinot and Chardonnay fields in the heart of this famed wine-growing appellation.
 Your next destination comes after a delightful, meandering drive through the Los Olivos countryside into the Valley’s own Bordeaux-style wine region. Stories of the area’s history – some funny, some insightful – will instill a fond kinship with this burgeoning wine-growing community. Soon, you will find yourself amidst abundant vines of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Merlot, and even a hint of Sauvignon Blanc. Your arrival at the monastic Firestone Vineyard & Winery beckons yet another taste sensation. Accompanied by a platter of meats, cheeses, fruit and salads, this tasting is based on varietals ideal for pre-dinner appetizers, fish and light meats, Asian foods and pastas. The wines range from Chardonnay to Rose’, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Syrah and perhaps even Firestone’s acclaimed Bordeaux blend.
 Our final tour location culminates the day with a laid-back, leisurely visit to Sogne Del Fiore, a luxurious and private ‘country club’ meshed with a stunningly beautiful vineyard. Expect a glorious outdoor tasting around a poolside bar, fireplace and gardens. The main course will be served Tuscan-style on a linen-covered long table adjacent to a custom bocci-ball court. The eye-candy that surrounds you is a complement to the incredible wines and food you are about to enjoy. A thorough sample of local varietals from Margerum, Curran, DiBruno, Ken Brown, among many others, will be compared to the best wines from Napa, Paso Robles and other coastal regions. It’s perhaps the best ‘tasting’ in the Valley. All private, and all for you. Once seated, you will delight in the main-course meal served on china and provided by the incomparable Trattoria Grappola with Master Chef Leonardo Curti.
